Mardev appoints Azur for Urban Zen Residences in New Zayed

In a strategic move reinforcing its position in Egypt’s real estate and hospitality sectors, Mardev Developments has signed a major agreement with Azur Hotels & Resorts to manage and operate branded residences within its flagship project, Menorca New Zayed

Under the agreement, Azur will oversee the full operation of the hospitality component, which will be introduced under the global brand “Urban Zen.” The project is set to become a leading hospitality destination in West Cairo, backed by investments exceeding EGP 1 billion

Zohdy Zahran, Chairman of Mardev Developments, stated that the partnership aligns with the company’s vision of delivering integrated real estate products that combine luxury living with sustainable investment returns. He emphasized that Azur’s strong track record in hospitality management was a key factor in the selection, ensuring high occupancy rates and consistent returns for investors amid growing demand for serviced apartments in West Cairo

Eng. Ibrahim Zohdy, CEO of Mardev Developments, revealed that Menorca spans 45 acres in a prime Sheikh Zayed location, featuring contemporary architectural designs that balance privacy and modernity. The hospitality component includes 160 fully furnished luxury units across three low-rise buildings, designed to meet international standards

Residents and guests will benefit from a wide range of premium amenities, including a state-of-the-art spa, a fully equipped gym, housekeeping and room services, swimming pools, fine dining options, and expansive landscaped areas

Meanwhile, Eng. Mohamed Zohdy, Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted that the project supports Egypt’s strategy to expand its hospitality capacity, especially with West Cairo emerging as a global tourism hub following the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum

He added that the collaboration with Azur complements Mardev’s partnership with Hilton Garden Inn, which will operate a 180-room hotel within the project, creating a fully integrated hospitality ecosystem near key landmarks such as Sphinx International Airport and the Giza Pyramids

The company confirmed that this partnership marks the beginning of a broader strategy to collaborate with international operators and elevate development and operational standards in Egypt’s real estate sector

Azur Hotels & Resorts also expressed strong enthusiasm for the partnership, noting that the Urban Zen brand will introduce a new concept focused on tranquility, comfort, and premium hospitality services, supported by transparent management systems that maximize investor value
